Rescuemania 25
Rescuemania 25 is a family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) day of entertainment – including live music, food and drink, games, karaoke, DJ, raffle, tombola and more besides! The aim of the day is for everyone to have a great time while raising much needed awareness and money for the charities and causes we are supporting.
This is our second annual event, highlighting some of the amazing work done by charities and causes in the UK and throughout the world.
We are working with three amazing causes for our 2025 event:

Broken Biscuits – providing education, rehabilitation and a quality of life for dogs with loss of mobility. Charity Number 1176733.

Dementia Forward – supporting people affected by dementia in North Yorkshire. Charity Number 1148225.

Border Collie Rescue and Rehab Centre – Supporting, rehabilitating and rehoming this intelligent & loving breed of dogs with specialist care and experience. Charity Number 1200171.

We’re delighted to return to Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club, who have been amazing once again with their support of our fundraiser. This event welcomes families with children of all ages and dogs* – both inside and outside the venue.

Please note that onsite parking will not be available on the day, but ample nearby street parking is available and unrestricted.
* Dogs are permitted in the venue but are not allowed on the furniture.
We’ve got a great lineup of entertainment again this year!

Food will available be onsite with hotdogs during the day and chilli later on. Vegan? We got you covered.

Live music between 1pm and 6pm outside. We’ve got some great acts lined up, so enjoy some local talent and one or two acts from further afield!

Drink! Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club are a fully licensed premises, so whatever you’re craving, they’ll sort you out.

Games – we’ll have a selection of games to suit all ages, with prizes if you’re rather good. Games will be outside, unless the weather decides they should be inside. We’ll have basketball throwing, jiggly pet races, hoop throw and hook-a-duck.

Karaoke and DJ will be in the main room. We’ll have a kid-friendly karaoke spot in the afternoon, and some karaoke for grownups (relatively speaking!) in the evening. Plus DJ sets either side of the karaoke fun.

Raffle! We’ve already got some awesome prizes lined up, so trust us when we say you definitely want to get your hands on some raffle tickets.

Tombolas will be held throughout the day, so keep your eyes and ears peeled to be in with a chance of winning even more stuff!

On the day of the event we’ll manually add your number of tickets to the draw and should you win any prizes we’ll contact you using the information you submit when you buy. Following the success of Rescuemania 24, where we raised £3,000 for charity, we’re excited to announce Rescuemania 25, an even more ambitious fundraising spectacular! This full-day fundraising event will take place on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, at Bishopthorpe Sports & Social Club and promises to be a fantastic day out for all.
Last year the support of York based businesses was fundamental to our fundraising efforts and we are reaching out again for your wonderful generosity. No matter how small your contributions, be it a small gift, experience, donation or sponsorship, anything you can give will be pivotal to our ability to raise vital funds for our three worthy charities.

Where your sponsorship money goes
Every sponsorship contribution will go directly towards:

All of our Rescuemania volunteers give up their time purely for the love of raising money for charity, so no sponsorship money will go towards wages or fees.
Any excess sponsorship funds will be added to the Rescuemania 25 fundraising total, which will be shared equally among our three chosen charities.
