Rescuemania 24
Rescuemania 24 is a family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) day of entertainment – including live music, food and drink, games, karaoke, DJ, raffle, tombola and more besides! The aim of the day is for everyone to have a great time while raising much needed awareness and money for the charities and causes we are supporting.
This is our first such event, and we plan to make it an annual celebration of some of the amazing work done by charities and causes in the UK and throughout the world.
We are working with three amazing causes for our inaugural annual event:

Broken Biscuits – providing education, rehabilitation and a quality of life for dogs with loss of mobility.

Dementia Forward – supporting people affected by dementia in North Yorkshire.

New Hope Animal Rescue – offering rescue and support for “death row” animals.

We’re delighted to hold our first ever event at Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club, who have been incredible with their support for this fundraiser. This event welcomes families with children of all ages and dogs* – both inside and outside the venue.

Please note that onsite parking will not be available on the day, but ample nearby street parking is available and unrestricted.
* Dogs are permitted in the venue but are not allowed on the furniture.

Live music during the day from our open mic. Outside if the weather permits, inside if England is being overly English. Want to perform? Bring your instrument and turn up and play! Or tell us a joke. Drink! Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club are a fully licensed premises, so whatever you’re craving, they’ll sort you out.

Games – we’ll have a selection of games to suit all ages, with prizes if you’re rather good. Games will be outside, unless the weather decides they should be inside.

Karaoke and DJ will be in the main room. We’ll have a kid-friendly karaoke spot in the afternoon, and some karaoke for grownups (relatively speaking!) in the evening. Plus DJ sets either side of the karaoke fun.

Raffle! We’ve already got some awesome prizes lined up, so trust us when we say you definitely want to get your hands on some raffle tickets.

Tombolas will be held throughout the day, so keep your eyes and ears peeled to be in with a chance of winning even more stuff!
